UPDATE: "Searching For Amani" wins best doc during European premiere.

The film won a huge award at Raindance Film Festival in London.

"Searching for Amani" just won best feature documentary at Raindance Film Festival in London after the film had its European premiere.

The film’s co-directors also won the ALBERT MAYSLES AWARD FOR BEST NEW DOCUMENTARY DIRECTOR(S) at Tribeca in New York following the film's premiere.

The "Searching for Amani" team wanted to make a climate film that connected with people on an emotional level and the response has been overwhelming.

Thank you Simon, Lucy, Haron and the whole Ali family for being so brave and sharing your story. We’re simply blown away by the response the film is receiving from audiences so far. We can’t wait to continue sharing this cinematic labor of love with communities across the globe.

The film just had its New Zealand premiere at Doc Edge Fest on June 23! And there are a few additional screenings coming up on July 6 and July 7. You can also watch the film online from the comfort of your home from July 15 - 31.
